where to download site in htdocs

PC crashed and i gave up for a while. I am back now.

I have a wordpress website that I want to download to edit on my localhost.
Where do i download it to?

Have the hello world (initial wordpress) but cannot find it on my pc. Looked under C:/xampp and sub directories.
I was thinking this would be where to download website to but drew a blank on that one.

Help please
