where to add bg image

  • I have used style.css to change the background around the page, the footer, and worked out how to change header colours successfully, but i have encountered problems in changing the page, and sidebar background colour, i thought font colour numbers would work (#f4dd98), the same way as the other bg colours, but it did not, so after searching wordpress forum, i realised it can only be changed by images; help me if it can be done the simple way, so i downloaded the kubrickbg.jpg file, used paint shop pro x to fill in the colours of page and side, but i now do not know where to place it, so the page and sidebar bg colour is changed.

I have tried putting it header.php, and style.css, but as it still does not work, i assume i am just placing it in the wrong place, so could someone please a.s.a.p. demonstrate exactly the part to apply this.

    Thankyou, pureliving.

  • I’m not sure what theme or version of WP you are using, but I went into the “Edit Themes > Header Image and Color” setting and checked the location of the image there…

    domain/install_directory/wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickheader.jpg

Is where the default image seems to be located for the WordPress Default theme.

    Hope that helps.
