Where to add a tag authentication code in customizer theme for webmaster

    I am trying to add a <meta> tag containing the authentication code to the <head> section of my default webpage. I want to verify my WordPress site with Bing but I cant remember how I did it with Google and where to put the code? Please help, thanks in advance.

    Go to Bing Webmaster Tools.

    • Log in with your Microsoft account.
    • It’s much easier just to download the bingsiteauthority.xml file they give you and upload it to your root directory using FTP or your web host’s control panel.
    • Click the Verify button after you’ve uploaded it to your root directory.
    • After that, I’d recommend submitting a sitemap to Bing. The sitemap must be compliant. There are a number of WordPress plugins that will make your sitemap.xml for you. You’ll want to submit this to Bing (and Google).
