  • It depends on the site and can vary wildly. With basic SEO and sufficient content, a great deal of it can come from search engines.

    google: 49289 hits
    wordpress.org: 18380 hits
    codex.wordpress.org: 12465 hits

** I couldnt tell you when the start of that data happened.

Crawler/Search Engine traffic accounts for 30% of my traffic.
adsense reports 114,139 page impressions and those impressions are limited to certain referers.

whooami.. WordPress.org? Where on earth do you get such high traffic from wordpress.org?

umm, my plugins, my VERY USEFUL tutorials..I dont spam my site here by any means, I dont have to 🙂

If you notice, too, my avatar and nic are links to my site.

I just realised we both have “idiot” on our domain names =]

search.live.com came out higher than Google in August, but Google is second, then a few Wikipedia articles that link to me and then some hotlinkers that I can’t get rid off.

I havn’t had mine up for long to judge where most of it’s coming from but I’ll post mine ina few weeks.
