• It appears that the function to only include tweets containing a certain hashtag or to ignore tweets containing a certain hashtag is gone in 3.0. Is that the case?

If so, I would like to make the plea that having this functionality back would go a long way to assuaging my concerns about there no longer being a digest function. For example, for tweets that we don’t want to create posts on our blog, we could simply add a special hashtag so they will be excluded. Thank you.

Twitter Tools is an Open Source project. It supports plugins the same way that the old version did; and I’d certainly encourage anyone who wants to port features to do so as plugins.

First of all, thanks for the AWESOME plugin – it does almost exactly what I want it to!

I’m afraid I don’t understand the response here, and I’m also looking for this feature. Here’s my scenario:

I want to only import tweets that include a specific hashtag in the body of the tweet.

I understand that you can can filter the output with the aktt_tweets short code, however I’m using the ‘Display Posts Shortcode’ plugin to display ALL of my posts on a single page, so I need to prevent unwanted tweets from creating a new post – preferably by specifying a unique hashtag.

Is it possible to display any embedded content in the tweet in the post? For example, if I post a link to a SoundCloud track/set, or an Instagram image on Twitter (and facebook) it shows up as an embedded object, but on WP it just shows text with links.

Finally, and this may be the wrong place to ask this, but how can I achieve the same functionality as Twitter Tools with Facebook?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I like the idea of importing tweets with specific hashtags, or even better would be also the option to exclude importing tweets by specific hashtags.
