Support » Fixing WordPress » where is the class entry-title defined ?

  • I am trying to change the color of post titles. I am using an embedded font which I have defined at the beginning of the style.css file. I have found .post h2 and have define the font-family using my new embedded font but I haven’t been able to set the color for the post titles . It looks like it may be defined in a class called entry-title but I don’t know where to find it.

All I really need to do is set the color of post titles i.e. the CSS rule for color also font-size and or weight or line-height or any margins that I may want to set. But most of all I want to set the color.

  • Unless you post a link to your site, it’s pretty hard to offer much help. Most likely .entry-title is in the style.css file. But you should not be making changes there, rather use a Child Theme.

    OK sorry about that

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

You’ll need to seek any further help from the theme vendor – as your theme is not released under GPL — so it won’t be supported or welcome here.

Personally, I’d find another theme — there are many great themes available (free and paid) that are in keeping with the WP GPL policy and philosophy.
