• since acf5 is don’t see a killer feature here? Okay – the sortable table and filter function is great! but for a crm i would expect things like:
    – groups: assign users to group (based on their custom field values)
    – easy/batch editing: having the ability to edit custom field values right in the overview table. and make changes to selected users (i.e. assign them to a group),
    – send admin-messages (newsletter) to the users

i am very interested in this plugin and will watch it closely…

  • Thank you for the feedback @nicmare!

We’re in the process of preparing some videos and tutorials for sample use-cases but here’s some responses to your suggestions/questions:

    • Groups – To achieve this simply create a Field in ACF called Groups (or whatever you want it to be. Then populate that field for at least one of your Users. Then create a Filter for any Users that match that value and save it as a Preset. Viola! We do this for “Type” so we can differentiate between Staff, Customers and Clients, for example.
    • Batch Editing – Great idea. I’m not sure we’ve tested the Bulk Edit menu – which can already do that for native values). We’ll mark this as a definite feature for CRM 2.0
    • Newsletters – This functionality is way outside the scope of the CRM however we will update the CRM to include a recommended Plugin (we use MailPoet) and look for ways to integrate it. Do you have any suggestions or requests for how you’d like to see a Newsletter feature integrated? What would you expect to see? How would you expect to use it?

    Thank you!

wow a feedback! thank you! you are right. you cann add a custom field “group” and assign the user to it. but i have to click every user to assign them. would be awesome to pick some from the list and use a bulk action like “set custom value for field:”. so the meta key would be my “group” and the value “group1, group2, group3 or new group”. something like this.

Ah, okay that makes sense. Okay we’ll add this to the features list and notify you when it’s done. We don’t have an ETA yet, of course, though.

That is a good idea! I would like to be able to do a batch change. As long as it has a confirmation to do so… because I would hate to accidentally change a field for all of my clients and not remember what they were originally. Or have an undo button… which might solve it.
