• On the main page of this forum with the sections it says “Looking for themes and plug-ins forums, head on over to that page and click the forum link there” (or something close to that).

    Only thing I can find on those pages is forum links bringing me right back to where we started. 🙁

    Howdy!

    What plugin or theme are you looking for?

    Usually the plugin support forum would be something like: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/{folder-name-of-plugin}

    and for a theme it would https://wordpress.org/support/theme/{theme-name}

    Is that what you are asking about? If not, would you mind clarifying a little more? 🙂

    I think he’s talking about the new HelpHub home page. The link at the bottom says plugins and themes, but doesn’t go there.

    Yes, what Joy says.

    I’m just looking for general plug-in discussions… like “is there a plug-in that can do X and Y?”

    While at it, is there a regular forum index like most forums have?

    Last Saturday we switched to the new layout for Support articles.
    The Forum page is https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
    There is no general forum for plugin discussions, but each plugin has its own forum.
    Clicking into any of the general forums gives you a list of topics in that forum.

    Joy, That forum page is still the one that has the new layout. Not sure if you were trying to point me to an older style or not.

    No, the old ones are gone.
    But each forum page has a list for that forum.

    With over 60 thousand plugins, a list would be useless for the forums. You have to go to the plugin page and click on their support tab from there.

    I have clearly not made myself very clear.

    I just mean a “General” Plug-ins section… where you can just say “is there a plug in that can do this? I’m having problems making this plug-in.

    Obviously it doesn’t exist, just clarifying I didn’t expect a list or whatever.

    like “is there a plug-in that can do X and Y?”

    There are a lot of posts like that on these forums and many are duplicates of the same question by different people at different points of time.
