[Resolved] Where is google tracking codes?

  • I’m new to this plugin so the question may be simple: Where are the tracking codes located? I used to manually paste the codes either in the header or footer, but after installing this plugin, neither file shows the codes, so where are they? And does it mean I no longer need to worry about re-inserting the codes with each theme update?

  • Hi,

    Check out this blog post:

    http://www.videousermanuals.com/google-analyticator/

The video will explain how to install the plugin.

You don’t manually paste in any code, it is all done for you.

There is a setting in the plugin which hide the codes if you are logged in, so double check you don’t have that option ticked.

    Thanks

Glad to know the code pasting is taken care of. However, I’m not able to find the option to show the codes – I went from top to bottom on the plugin setting page but did not see such options…, so?

    Hi,

The plugin does not actually show you the codes, it automatically puts them on the page for you.

Take a look at the html of a normal page on your website. If you see something like this in the html:

<!– Google Analytics Tracking by Google Analyticator 6.4.7.3:

    You are already set up.

    Thanks
