    Hello,
Since the last updates, I feel like I have few or no visitors… Maybe everyone is asleep!
    I don’t understand what’s going on?
Please tell me what to do or how to roll back to an older version.

    Hello,

Are you sure Koko Analytics is active on the site you shared? I don’t see it anywhere on your page’s source code.

If it is, can you please confirm that you are on version 1.8.2 of the plugin?

    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, it is active on the site and I have the latest version.

Are you using a plugin to combine multiple JS files into a single file by any chance?

I am not sure, but I see references to Autoptimize which may offer functionality like that? If so, can you please try clearing or disabling that.

Somehow the plugin’s tracking script is not being loaded on your pages and it is likely due to some other plugin on your site.

OK, on another page I now see that the Koko Analytics tracking script is included in some file generated by Autoptimize.

The issue is that Autoptimize is serving an older version of the file, so you need to instruct Autoptimize to re-generate that file somehow.

Yes, I’m using Autoptimize. Can you tell me which js file I should exclude from Autoptimize? I see several in your plugin.
    Thanks

    (@dvankooten)

You don’t need to exclude it per se; but it would help prevent similar issues in the future. The tracking script that is loaded on the frontend of your site is /wp-content/plugins/koko-analytics/assets/dist/js/script.js

BTW, I noticed that it works now and see successfull calls to the tracking endpoint again. So it looks like you fixed it. 🙂

    Thank you for your reply.
I cleared the Autoptimize cache, which might be why it’s working again!
But I’ll still exclude the js file.
    Thanks.

I usually simply add koko to the exclusion list 🙂

I have a big problem. I was actually planning to upgrade to the premium version, but since the latest update (1.8.2), I no longer receive any visitors. I tried rolling back and using an older version, but the result is the same—the plugin no longer works. Everything was working fine before the update.

I am using LiteSpeed Cache and Redis Object Cache.

You will understand that I cannot switch to the paid version if the problem persists.

    What could be the issue?

    Hi @domfru707,

Do you have a link to your site so I can take a look?

    Also, please check:

    • Are you running an aggressive caching plugin like Autoptimize or WP Rocket? If so, please clear/rebuild your caches.
    • Are there any errors in your PHP error log?

I’ve disabled it for now to try another plugin that gives me real-time traffic stats, which I really appreciated with Koko.
I’ve tried everything: uninstalling, deleting database tables, reinstalling older versions—nothing works. The stats remain empty even though the site generates 15,000 pageviews per day. The issue started right after the June 13 update.
I’m using LiteSpeed Cache and Redis Object Cache, and I’ve of course purged all caches, but it worked perfectly before.

    Hi @domfru707,

    That’s too bad. 🙁

Let me know if you want to activate it again so that I can take a look and fix the issue for you. Shouldn’t take long – but I do need to see the issue in action to see what is going wrong since it is not happening to me or most users I spoke to.

    Best, Danny

Figured I’d chip in on this thread. After the update, the cookies tracking settings were changed by default, but regardless of which setting, it seems that my visits have halved since the update, which could be coincedence, but more likely the difference is in Koko Analytics registering it? For the record, the whole month was between 8-15K a day, the day I updated stuck at 6K and the past 2 are under 5K. Will keep an eye on it

@noseknowsnonotes Thank you for chipping in! Very peculiar and definitely not something I’ve been able to replicate. Do you have a link to your site so I can take a look at whether the data collection request is firing and returning a success response?

Also, if you have access to your PHP error log, could you check it for any error messages related to Koko Analytics?

    https://scentadvice.com/

Basically seems to now count the amount of visitors whereas it used to be visitors and then visits x2 or 3
