# where do these classes come from?

 * I’m new to wp, I am trying to develop my own theme, which can be seen here: [http://www.afzdesign.com/conservatorio_02](http://afzdesign.com/conservatorio_02/),
   I think it’s all ok, in case it’s not please let me know.
    Anyhow, the problem
   I have is trying to have drop-down menus, I found [this interesting tutorial](http://www.tanfa.co.uk/css/examples/menu/tutorial-v.asp),
   I put the code into the style.css, but the subpages stay there with bulletted
   lists, when I look at the source I see this code `<li class="page_item page-item-
   63">` with the number changing depending on the page … where does that come from,
   and what is generating it? Any idea how to make it work?

 * These classes are automatically generated by WordPress. Check your stylesheet
   for .page_item to see if these are being styled or not. page-item-63 is for styling
   the page with the ID of 63 (if you ever want to).

 * Sorry it took so much.
    I ended up using [this plugin](http://www.webspaceworks.com/resources/wordpress/30/),
   and it does what I needed.
