# Where do I paste what code?

 * My problem,
 * Am using therme F2, three colume.
 * I have learned much of the “theories” Example; best places to put adsense adds
   for different effects in placement, Where banners can be placed for affiate marketing,
   that a site map should be created, Wanting to insert a you tube vid, where I 
   want to up load an image. I know what i want to do. I think you get the drift.
 * My problem is I get code downloaded for an example from an affiliate program 
   but I look at the source code on my site and I Don’t KNOW WHERE TO PASTE IT.
 * Are there some kind of general rules or things for me to look at, headings what
   ever, so I cna know,, “Okay paste this here in your code”
 * Sorry for being such a newbie but this is really holding me back.
 * Any help would be great

 * You’ll want to paste the code somewhere in your theme files.
 * Try to match the file name to the location, for example `sidebar.php` would be
   for the sidebar and `footer.php` would be for the footer.
 * Once you know the general location and which file you’re going to edit, find 
   some “landmarks” (key words or an image) near where you want the code to appear.
   Then, check the code in the specific file and try to find references to your “
   landmarks”. Paste the code where you want it to appear in reference to your “
   landmarks”.
 * It’s all trial-and-error from there. Good luck!
 * Alternatively, if you’re using a widgetized theme and want the code to appear
   in your sidebar, paste the code into a “Text” widget.
