Hi,
You can go to Plugins -> Editor
Select the plugin to edit.
On the plugin header you will see the version number.
For example for akismet, there is the following version number.
Version: 3.1.11
Change it to a large number, probably 10.0.0
Version: 10.0.0
Save your changes by clicking on update file button and you will not get any update notice.
Thank you
Thank you Denzel for the workaround. This cleared the update nag message but resulted in the SEO nag message “one or more plugins have been activated or deactivate, please empty the page cache…”
Emptying the page cache or all caches doesn’t get rid of the nag message.
Any ideas?
Hi,
You will need to contact your SEO plugin’s author for help.
That message is produced by your plugin, not a general WordPress feature such as the notification to update plugin.
I don’t have a solution for this.
Thank you.
