At the bottom of the page https://wordpress.org/plugins/decent-comments/advanced/ you can download previous versions.
By the way, the latest comments displayed on the site’s posts which are rendered by the plugin seem to look fine and you are using the latest version. I would recommend against reverting to a previous version. If you need help with adjusting the CSS for your site, you can use https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or any freelancer site so someone with the expertise can help you style it to your liking.
Hi thanks for this and apologies for the late response. We’re not using the latest version – we’re stuck on 2.0 for the reasons above. I am aware that we can adjust with CSS and I have a site dev via Codeable who could do it but we’re also trying to avoid additional CSS. For example, the most recent version we tried didn’t show Avatars without extra code snippets so it’s not even just CSS.
good news – this IS actually resolved now so thank you
@mysticmedusa Thanks for following up and great to hear this is resolved. If you ever want to check out a previous version, you can get it via https://wordpress.org/plugins/decent-comments/advanced/ or https://github.com/itthinx/decent-comments/releases

Hi, this is more like feedback as we’ve already removed the plugin. The changes in layout may have made sense from your point of view but unfortunately they’ve made the plugin unworkable for us. And yes we’ve tried a number of different fiddly CSS changes but some are just unresolvable. It’s also annoying to have the most perfect ‘it just works’ widget plugin suddenly become a pain. I understand that we could have just rolled back to the working version but my dev thinks that will cause problem in the future and it’s not really a solution as such. So thanks for the years that it was working without hassle.
