[Resolved] Where can I find free images to use in my header?

  • Is there an image gallery within WordPress where you can go to choose images to use in your header, assuming your theme allows substitutions? I like my theme, but not any of the images that come with it. I’m having a hard time finding an image out on the web that will scale nicely to fit the size I need for the header. I thought maybe WordPress had some free images already sized right to choose from.

No, WordPress has nothing like that. You can resize any images using a image program – there are many free options available (google can find them) Make sure that you are not using images that have any kind of copyright.

OK, thanks. I’ve tried resizing several images I found and they always get fuzzy. I guess I’m not doing it right.

They’re fuzzy in the dashboard or on the website?

In the program I’m using to resize them. (Pixelator)

Sounds like your issue may be you’re enlarging pics that have low resolution. If that’s the case, you may need to find higher resolution versions or other images.

Thank you. That was the problem. I found a better image and now it’s looking good.
