[Resolved] Where are my installed plug-ins?

    @gregpilfer

I started my first blog recently.

I added some plug-ins, now when I go back into my account I don’t have the same options as I did before.

The is no option to view the plug-ins I just installed.

People are telling me to look to the left and click on installed plug-ins

That option is not to the left in my Dashboard?

I don’t know if one of the plug-ins I installed caused that problem.

Please help I have had this problem for a few days now.

    Thanks in advance

  • Left-hand side, click on plugins (next down after ‘appearance’), the content area will switch and show those available, active and non-active.

    Thanks t31os,

There is no option on the left hand side to click on plug-ins

The only option is newest plug-ins, most popular, and recently updated

Do I to reset my blog?

    What will resetting accomplish?

What version of WordPress are you running?
Are you logged in as an Admin level user?

Since you’re server hasn’t disabled directory browsing, you can see your current set of plugins at
    http://gettingridofyourmanboobs.com/wp-content/plugins/
Are those what you expect to see?

    I’m using 2.7

How do I know I’m logged in as a Admin level user?

I’m using the same password I used when I created the account.

Yes that is the plug-ins I installed.

What do I need to do?

If you log in and go to the “Users” section, what role is assigned to your WP user account?

I’m having a hard time visualizing what you’re describing. Perhaps a link to a screenshot of what you see when logged in and looking at plugins would be helpful?

How do I give you a screen shot so you can see what I’m talking about?

Well, normally folks would make an image and host it on their site (or any other image sharing site) and put a link up here.

    Ok

If you go to my site look at latest posts and you will see the screenshots

Let me know if they are big enough

We may never know — I’m not about to open a MS Word doc from the internet! 😉

Does your Plugins page look anything like this one?

    No it does not

    That is the problem

That side bar to the left where it says Post, Media, Links. Pages Comments, Appearance, Plug-ins.

I do not have that in my dashboard.

I don’t know what happened to that section

… and I just can’t visualize the problem.

So let’s try something we should’ve tried a long time ago. FTP to your site and delete the plugins that you installed right before everything changed.
