  • In Multisite I have a list of sites where I can see their registered date. Is this viewable in wpadmin on single sites anywhere?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I could be wrong but I don’t think there is…

That feature was probably there for housekeeping of the many sites on a multisite but on a single site, the owner would (should?) know that date.

You could approximate the date the install was done by looking at the file directories date. Of course, that date would relate to the last move to the present server.

I usually go by the date of the domain registration if I ever need that info. Close enough for me. You could also go by the earliest date recorded by the Wayback Machine which would be a good approximation.

I try to keep a paper record of pertinent info on my sites and I always try to list the first year date, a dash, and the current year in my Copyright line.

I live in the U.S.A. so my country is a signatory of the Berne Convention which means Copyright is recognized as such internationally for me.

I don’t really give a hoot about the presence of the Copyright line itself…

I do like the line as with a single year date it can kind of be said the site is most likely new… with a span of dates the site is at least aged to include those dates. Either way, a new site is always interesting as new and an aged site probably has some significant aged content.
