    Hi
Blank Slate works great – clean page to work with
Restrict Content works great – limiting access to some pages to subscribers
When I used them together –
    – for a subscriber, everything works fine, access is approved and a clean slant to lay down my content on

    – for somebody without permission, access is restricted, but Restrict Content is unable to display its normal message that you don’t have permission to view the page. Instead, I get a simple blank page. Not warnings. No 404 error. Nothing.

Any suggestions on how to put up and error message about lack of access when using Blank Slate?

    thanks

I’m not familiar with the Restrict Content, but it makes sense after looking at the plugin.

Just to clarify, have you tried this shortcode to limit what is displayed?
    [restrict userlevel=”editor”][/restrict]

    Hi Aaron

I tried explicitly using the restrict shortcut. No improvement.

However I do have a workaround idea I can use with Blank Slate. My page is running running custom code and I can simply check the user rights and put up a message. That is, I don’t need to use Restrict Content on the page I’m using Blank Slate for.

Marking this closed, it is not a Blank Slate issue.
    thanks
