When try and login Admin can't and site comes up with error message

  • Once this has happened, even the mobile version of my site (on the same wifi network) says that the servor is not responding. Switching to 4G resolves the issue. I am assuming that something is wrong with my wifi and this website, but have not a clue as to how to fix it.

    If other people can login and see your site fine, yes, it’s almost certainly a local problem – sounds like it’s with your internet connection. Have you restarted your router/modem?

    I restarted my modem and my router, which allowed me access to my site via wifi again. However, as soon as I tried to login to wordpress the same problem resurfaced. Have yet to be able to login.

    This is the error message:
    Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

    However, others can login with the same username and password, so I’m personally at a loss on how to resolve this issue

    You should check with your hosting company – many tightened down security because of recent mass attacks on servers hosting WP sites – see: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/brute-force-attacks-and-wordpress?replies=2

    The message you are getting is the same one many others have gotten because of the above.

    I agree that it seems like a possible cause. What I’m not sure I understand is why others are stil able to log on without problems but not me?

    I am having similar problems but there is one more piece of information. I can log in through my network as long as I log in through a wired connection but not wirelessly. If I log in through our desktops connected through ethernet, I have no problems. If I try to log in through my wifi on the same router, it times out every time for more than two months. I have formatted my laptop just to make sure that I had no plugins or software that could cause problems. Also, I reset the router back to manufacturers (D-Link DIR-825) settings and still having the problem. However my HTC One cell phone using this same wifi can log in with no problems. This is very frustrating.
