When to send trackbacks

    I’ve been using WordPress for a few years now, but there’s one feature I still don’t fully understand: issuing trackbacks and pingbacks. Specifically, when and why to do so.

    When writing a post, what do I put in the “Send Trackbacks” field? Is there ever a reason for a URL I link to in the post itself to also be listed in the “Send Trackbacks” field?
