I want to thank you for a simple and amazing plugin!

I’m using the plugin from Elementor and the configuration part looks good, I leave blank “Content to encode in QR Code” so that it takes the URL of the Post and it works. My problem is that when I scan the QR from a Mobile, the link appears as text and not as a Link itself. I saw all the queries and I don’t understand what I can be doing wrong.

In advance, thank you very much and sorry for my English!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
Thank you for your comment and for using ‘Kaya QR Code Generator’.

I checked on the page where the QR Code is displayed. Indeed, your configuration is ok, no problem with it, the URL encoded is the current page.

I think your problem is from the scanning application you are using, it maybe don’t automatically redirect an url to a browser. Maybe try another application and you will see a different result.

I just scanned your QR Code with my phone, and it indeed shows me the url in text and propose me to open it as a link, so it works just fine for me.

Thank you, please take the time to let me know about your experience and rate this plugin.

After many tests with your Plugin and external QR generators I was able to find the problem. The problem is the domain extension and not its Plugin or QR readers.

Any domain that is encoded without a .com, such as .live, will be treated as text by the QR reader, giving only the option to copy the text. On the other hand, any domain that contains .com, .com.es, .com.uy, will be notified by the readers as a valid URL and giving the possibility to go to it.

    Hello,

Indeed there is a problem with these applications because I think that really depends on your QR Code reading application, I just try it again with mine and it shows me your link as a link, proposed me to open it, and did it without problem. It works really fine with it.

    Thank you, best regards.
