    I have a site that I perform product updates every 3 days using a script. I have noticed that the Make Offer button disappears after each update even though the box marked Update New Products is checked.

    After the updates are performed I have to go into Make Offer and manually activate the button using the Bulk Settings.

    Does anyone know why or have a fix? I am using the free version as it does exactly what I need it to do except stay active on new products.

  • @ballisticsman, I m not sure how that script is updating the products meta. Can you mention what script you are using right now so that I can try that to see whats going in there? Another suggestion is to write it to the developers of that script as they know well how they update the WC products meta. Please let me know what they tell on this. Thanks!

    @ballisticsman, It sounds like whatever you’re using to update products on the site is updating existing records, but it’s setting fields like our “Enable Offer” field to “nothing” which effectively disables it.

    We could probably help you figure it out, but it would be outside the scope of anything we can do for free, so you’d need to submit an order for premium support.

    As Oliver mentioned, you may want to reach out to whoever built the script you’re using to update your products and ask them to make sure they don’t overwrite existing meta data for products.

    Now that you mention it this sounds exactly like what is occurring. I use WP All Import to handle my product inventory, I use EasyCRON to trigger the import script that does in fact update existing records. From what I remember of WP the updated products are over written as if they are new products being loaded for the first time.

    I was hoping that enabling the New Product Offer setting would have worked. I will reach out to WP and see what they may be able to do. Otherwise I will take you up on upgrading my support.
