when making NextGEN settings in control panel, is it setting for all galleries ?

  • Hi

I only have one gallery created at the moment using NextGEN and I am playing with the thumbnail sizes and styles etc.

However I want to add several more galleries and I don’t want them to look the same, is this possible ?

    Many thanks

    Ash

  • Anyone just a yes or know would help folks.

    PLEASE

Don’t do it! I have actually hurt myself with changing the thumbnail sizes after creating a Gallery… thinking that it would change the setting going forward. But it will go back and change the previous galleries and ruin the thumbnails (well, you have to regenerate them which is a bummer…).

So moral of the story, once you set it, don’t change it unless you are willing to go back and re-generate the thumbnails for the other galleries.

Also, before you upgrade to 2.7, upgrade the latest version of nexgen-gallery (it is ready for 2.7)… it seemed more difficult to upgrade (well, none of the autoupgrade options work now that I upgraded and looks like no one has the answers why). I ended up deleting it and uploading the new version via FTP.
