I’ve been using WP Performance Score Booster for about a year on 10-15 different sites.
WP Performance Score Booster works by adding three sections to the .htaccess file, with common optimization techniques, increasing performance score as advertised.
You can do that quite easily by yourself, but if you haven’t got FTP access to your site, WP Performance Score Booster comes in handy.
In SOME cases, WP Performance Score Booster breaks 1.7 the site. And when it does, its completely. As in no logging in. So, forget about “In-Wordpress” backups like Updraft or All in one migration. You’ll have to gain FTP access to fix the .htaccess by yourself, or restore from a external backup.
So in conclusion, just be cautious. Don’t update WP Performance Score Booster on a production site. There is no easy “going back” if it fails.
