I see that the Instagram: How Soon? question is marked as Resolved… But the question has not been answered… not even vaguely.

I really like what this plugin purports to stand for… i.e. autonomous auto-posting directly from my blog to my social media pages, profiles, feeds or groups, without some middleman marshalling my posts and charging a perpetual toll fee for doing so.

But, as much as I would like to try out the autonomy that this plugin promises, it is not possible to half switch (i.e. use this plugin for Facebook and Twitter and still keep my existing social media cross-posting solution just for Instagram).

Even a rough estimate or ballpark timeline would be better than “Coming Soon!” or “We’re currently working on some cool features along with Instagram. We’re taking some more time to release everything all together…” because this does not give any indication as to whether one should check back in a few days, weeks, months or even a year (I have seen some “hobby” projects take that long).

If you deliver on what you have promised, you will definitely have me as a customer… but I do not think that you will get many serious people waiting an indefinite period of time for you to tell them how long they need to wait… let-alone for you to actually deliver on the actual features promised.

@flytrap21 We appreciate your time for trying our plugin. We want to finish the next release, and we need it completed as much as you need. We created this plugin to reduce our headache for using third party software to spread our contents to different social media channels from our blog. Our next release is coming the end of next month ( April). Please bear with us for the next version and let us know if you have any other feedback.

@rextheme Thanks for the feedback. April timeline is great. I will get some of my users to try out the plugin and give you feedback.

I agree with you about the headache of relying on intermediated social media posting third parties. Once upon a time the likes of Hoot Suite and Buffer were a real novelty, especially if you are not on a self hosted CMS platform (and in the corporate space they are still a necessity)… but if I am already hosting my own WordPress installation, then I really want to manage all my stuff in a single place.

Thanks a lot… I am looking forward to the updated version.

Hey, @flytrap21 as major hearing is ongoing on Senate against Facebook, we’re pausing any further Instagram and Facebook release until we’re sure about FB’s major changes to developers API.

Thanks for your patience. Stay with us.
