When I try to create a text link on a page, WordPress jumps to the posts page

    I’m trying to edit a page. I select the name of an organization that I want to turn into a link to their website and I click the “link” icon.
    When the window comes up, I paste in the URL, type in a description and click the “link” button.
    But then the page I’m working on disappears and suddenly I’m on the “Posts” page of the dashboard!
    When I go back to the page I was working on, the link isn’t there.
    Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be some conflict with a plugin?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
