• I uploaded a lot of images to my wordpress site.
The German version is the primary version and it works fine there. Now I’m also trying to put content on the English version, but when I try to do that, my media folder is completely empty, and when I try to upload new images, I get an HTTP-error.

    What could be the problem?

  • It is not actually a problem.
Probably you’ve activated translation for media (actually it comes by default), so it works like for posts and pages.
Try to click in the image you want through the media library (with the primary language) and then you will see a pen icon in the right of the current language->Click on it and then a new image will be created (as copy) with a new link.

Ok thanks, that solved my problem.
So if I want to create the English content with the same pictures and formatting like the German content, I have to translate every singe picture before I can create the pages, is that right?

Yes, unless you disable the translation for media content in the options of the plugin, so you won’t have to “translate” every media content. If it would be useful to you i recommend you to do that, once it avoid a lot of inodes in your server.
