When does it start counting the cut-off time? What’s the trigger?

    Hi there,

    could you please explain how the counter works for the abandoned cart?
    e.g. cart abandoned cut-off time = 15min

    Is there any difference:
    Visitor adds item to cart and leaves shop within 15min
    Visitor adds item to cart and stays on shop but does not purchase
    Visitor adds item to cart and goes to checkout page but does not actually purchase
    Visitor adds item to cart but does not go to cart page page because side-cart is installed

    I tried to understand when it starts counting those 15 minutes but could not figure it out yet

    Hello Markus,

    Thank you for choosing our product and getting in touch.

    Once the visitor enters the email address on the checkout page, then it starts the timer to run the webhook.

    The plugin does not capture user data on the shop or the cart page. Users must visit the checkout page and enter their email address to receive recovery emails.

    So basically, the timer would start as soon as the user leaves the checkout page. (Visitor must have entered an email address on the checkout page prior to leaving).

    How does this vary from the “Send this email” timing trigger in the first email? If the former is set to 20 minutes and the latter is 30 minutes, does that mean the first email is sent 50 minutes after the email address is entered on the Checkout page?

    Greetings of the day!

    Let me explain it to you. The email-sending timer starts when the order is captured as abandoned order. So If the cut-off time is set to 20 minutes and it means the order will be added to the abandoned order list after the 20 minutes.

    When the order is marked as abandoned and added to the abandoned order list. The emails get scheduled accordingly for that order.
