When designers & programmers work together with WordPress

Hi there!

I have beeing building a project based on WP 3.1 for two weeks. I am PHP developer and I can’t still get solved my “problem”. I don’t know whta’s the best way to work togehther, both, web designers & programmers when building a project. I mean when coding the final HTML. I don’t like at all mixing HTML and PHP. So, the most examples, plugins and themes that I have saw mix HTML (xhtml, css, js, …) and PHP. Are there someone that can link me a good article that talks about this issue or just give some tips to begin thinking at. Sure that I am not the first.
