  • Hello all-

I just started building a marketing website for the industry I am heavily involved in. I have coded everything via HTML5 and CSS3 using DreamWeaver and have only put together a homepage of now. Realizing that my site is going to have a LOT of content and I am going to need to practice good SEO methods, I have been toying with the idea of using WordPress as a CMS for the entire site rather than just for the blog portion.

It’s nothing too fancy or special, but this is what I have as of now:
[no links are active, I literally just started working on this yesterday]

I know HTML and CSS fairly well but am pretty inexperienced at creating themes using WordPress. I was curious if anyone could point me in the direction of any tutorials, or has any advice on how I can take what I have already created in DreamWeaver and implement it into a WordPress theme and [for the most part] keep the website looking the same as it is now?

Is it going to be too difficult to pull off, or should I just start from scratch with one of the many thousands of themes available online? And if that is the case, how difficult is it to modify themes to add custom divs, imgs, JavaScript slideshows, etc?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
