[Resolved] What will happen to existing admin posts?

  • Hello,

I’ve been wanting to change the admin username, because my site is getting hammered with hacking attempts. This plugin seems like an easy solution, rather than editing the database by hand, etc. However, I’m curious to know what will happen to exiting posts if I do this? Currently, admin is the only username, and I have hundreds of posts. If I use this plugin to change “admin” to something else, will the posts be deleted?

    Thank you 🙂

They will still exist, this plugin only renames the admin username. leaving all other stuff like posts in tact.

yet .. if your site is getting hammerd .. only using my plugin will not be a full solution. Look for login-lockdown and any other WP security plugin.

    Ok, thanks!

I do use the “Limit Login Attempts” and “Askimet” plugins, as well. Thanks for this plugin. 🙂

Is this plugin compatible to 3.7 0r 3.8?
I added a new admin user, and want to change current admin user name and its role as admin, can it be done with this plugin?
    Thanks.
