  • I guess this is very subjective but I’ve just used it in anger for the first time. Hate it. Doesn’t seem intuitive at all. I used to click on my first para to then select my H3/4 – not as easy now. Used to add my category in the right column (because it was just ‘there’) – now I have to find it. Should I be in BLOCK or DOCUMENT (and why should I in any case?). Stuff that used to be 2 clicks is no more.

But worse than all these subjective cases which can be overcome with familiarity, why does it seem to take 5 times longer to generate a preview or to save? I’m wondering how this is loading the server. It all seem pretty retrograde to me.

I’ve now got the classic editor plugin installed, thanks very much. BTW, I’m updating and developing web sites regularly – I’d hate to think how a novice must be coping!!

It’s easier, actually: you don’t need clics at all. If you’re starting a paragraph, type “##” and SPACE…when you do, you’ll see your block changed to a Heading (level 2) type. So, ## -> H2, ### -> H3 an so on, up to H6.

Block tab is global, i.e. it affects your whole post; Block tab is particular, it works with the currently selected block.

    Hope it helps.

Orlando, I am sorry, but your advice is in language of computer programmer. What seems easier to you, is something unbelievably unintuitive to common user… In other words, if this is “innovation” of UX, then it is just a huge fail.
