What to look for in a host

  • Hello,

What do I need to consider when choosing a host? What is the difference between cPanel and ‘the other’, which I can’t remember the name of.

On some hosting options I see the mention of a contron panel, other I don’t. Why do I need this, or is it alwasy included? At the request of a recent web designer, I engaged with (mt) Medial Templs and got the DV service for $50/month…this seems a bit expensive, but then again I don’t know the reason he had me purchase that option. I have since cancelled the service because he took the money and ran.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    -Dave

Because these threads attract spam and are usually closed.

And because what I want from a host may be different than you or esmi. It’s like asking what flavor of ice cream is best. Too subjective 😉
