    Hello,

We have a webshop but have no blog as such. We do not have any posts, just standard pages and product pages (WooCommerce). So the mysite.com/feed is not used at all. I don’t think we will have a blog at any time.

BAsed on that, what do we do with the feed settings in your plugin. If I look at page source it lists the feed URL, but maybe we need to prevent that as it is non existent. What would you suggest we do, in terms of the options in your plugin?

Same goes for Twitter and FAcebook. If we do not have a facebook account or Twitter profile, do we need to output the twitter and facbook meta tags? Does it harm our SEO if we output these graphs but we do not have these social media accounts?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

If you don’t see a use for the feeds (I don’t either, in your case), please read this guide on removing them. When removed, the feed settings of The SEO Framework are moot.

The Facebook and Twitter profile fields are optional. If you don’t fill them in, then other social metadata can still be generated for your pages and products. When someone shares a page from your website, this markup will be used to enhance the sharing experience.

Now, search engines are known to ignore these “non-standard” social metatags. So, they don’t affect SEO.

I hope this helps 🙂 Cheers!
