What to do when Home page is blank after install?

  • Hi,

We’re pulling our hair out on this one.

After installing WordPress 2.04 thru cpanel fantastico (and later even manually), when you load the home page, it comes up blank (and nothing in view source)–same thing with the admin page.

When you ssh and call the file by php index.php, you can see the html source no problem.

Has anybody run into this and has figured it out who could share some solution? We thought it might have something to do with cpanel updates.

    Stumped 🙁 please help

    J

Speak to your webhost about the webserver error logfile. That might indicate what the problem is.

    Hi,

Thanks for the tip. I rushed over to check it out, but nothing other than can find 404.shtml or favicon.ico

    Hmmm…
