    Hello,
I’m trying to get External Media to work so I can import photos from a Google Drive account. I followed your link from an earlier support topic to google instructions for verification.
Google says I must verify my app, but I’m not writing an app. If I pretend that my website is the app, I can get as far as selecting the scope(s) for my supposed app. I have NO IDEA what scopes the External Media plugin needs, or if it is my website that needs scopes. ?? Google says I can check my “script” to find out what scopes it needs. Does “script” mean your plugin code and I need to supply that to google?
Can you please tell me what scopes to add so I can make this work?
    Thank you,
    Kathy

Hi all google console “apps”/credentials require verification. You don’t need to pass any scopes, that’s done automatically via script in the External Media plugin. You need to create credentials that you will use in the plugin and enable Drive API.

Thank you. I added Drive API. I don’t know if the app is verified because the Submit button doesn’t show up, but I am able to upload photos from Google Drive to Media Library now. Maybe I’m still in Testing status, but it works.
