    So far, so good. I was trying to write this kind of thing myself when I stumbled upon it. Many thanks. Saved me lots of headaches.

    Just want to add a great big thanks to the author of this blank theme. I’m now well on my way to making my own theme thanks to a great start. If you want to build your own simple theme, this is a great start.

    If someone had the time and inclination, I could imagine a series of tutorials based off this beginning showing addition of features a few at a time.
