• Installed your plugin, most seems to work fine, but the “Widget” tab simply shows a blank screen, is there anything supposed to be there?

    Hi Dave,

Sorry for this issue. There is supposed to be something there. Could you do me a favor and turn on WP_DEBUG, go back to that page, and then tell me if there’s any new text on the page? If there is, please post it back here.

Here is some info on WP_DEBUG, if you are unfamiliar: https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG

So this was an another site/server, and same thing, with this error message displaying when wp_debug on:

Notice: register_sidebar was called incorrectly. No id was set in the arguments array for the “Sidebar 1” sidebar. Defaulting to “sidebar-1”. Manually set the id to “sidebar-1” to silence this notice and keep existing sidebar content. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. I’ve also tested this with the default WordPress themes to ensure it wasn’t a theme conflict issue, and same issue appears.

Could you provide a list of active plugins on the website?

    (@deeve007)

I did it on a fresh install, no other plugins active.

    Hey Dave,

I’m having trouble replicating this one. Could you temporarily allow me access to a site where this is happening? You can email me at joel@realbigplugins.com

    Email sent…

    Hello,

I’m having this same issue. At first I was able to see the widgets and drag and drop them but now I cannot. I’m not sure what caused the issue.

    Hi Dave,

Apologies for the delay. I visited your site and the Widgets tab is not empty. http://d.pr/i/OUQJJV

Are you still seeing it as empty?

    Thread Starter Dave

    (@deeve007)

This is really strange. Went back to check just now, and now the widget tab is populated, as you say. So removed this entire WordPress install completely (files & database), and re-installed another clean install, again with no other plugins installed. Once again the widgets tab is empty.

Are you sure you made no changes when you logged in? And if not, what would explain this behaviour???

    Thread Starter Dave

    (@deeve007)

And you can check/login again with the same credentials I emailed you previously.

Yeah this is really odd… EXACT steps:

    1. Log in using provided credentials.
    2. After log in, am taken to main dashboard page.
    3. Hover “Settings”, click “Client Dash”.
    4. Click “Widgets”

Literally just navigating to the tab.

Question: Is it possible you somehow managed to get to the widgets tab without EVER visiting the main dashboard page (wp-admin/)?

Before I do some more tests, what browser/platform are you on?

    Sure. Mac/Chrome
