Support » Networking WordPress » What is the "recommended" way to map a subdomain

  • I currently have a dozen or so subdomains I map to specific domains (sub.patbell.co.uk to anotherdomainIown.com). In order to do this I have to create what my host calles an alias (but previously had called parked domain) and redirect it to my public_html root and use WordPress MU Domain Mapping in the network dashboard to map specific sites.

But that plugin hasn’t been updated for 2 years and I heard a podcast talking about new functionality in WP to do this job. Is this the case and how do I do it?

    No functionality for this yet.

The Domain Mapping plugin is not updated, but it does a very simple thing, and does it well. It doesn’t need to be updated. This is currently the “recommended” way to map domains.
