• What is the purpose of the wordpress links section in the dashboard.

I see that you can add link name, URL, description, category, etc. But what is the purpose to adding them in there?

I can’t FIND the ‘Links’ section and I want to delete and add some links to the blogroll. Where is it hiding?

@smadison once you’ve added links, if you go to your Appearance > widgets section, you can easily add your blogroll to your sidebar.

@spcii with the release of 3.5, the link section is now hidden. It was deemed that this section was not that popular. You can add them back in with this plugin – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/link-manager/

Wow, that’s GREAT Christine! MAHALO!… Please excuse my ignorance, but HOW do I upload the plugin to my WP dashboard or site?

I tried to upload some files to my WP site earlier today via Filezilla and NOTHING would go! I use Windows xp and have always dragged files from my desktop into the upload window of Filezilla, but today it wouldn’t allow it to happen. (This is the 1st time I’m working with WP sites)

    I appreciate your help!

To add plugins, just go to your plugin section of your admin and click add new. You can search for the plugin and upload the zip.

ahHAH!! I found how to get it installed via the plugins section of the dashboard, and now the link button is there!

Still need to figure out how to upload files from my computer to the ‘contents’ folder of my WP site via FTP…
