what is the difference between “WordPress address (URL)” & “Blog address (URL)?

  • I’ve created a simple home page with a custom php template as my front page and selected it from within Settings>Reading>Front page displays>A static page.

    Now on my custom static page I’ve go a link that goes to http://domain.com.

    When I click the link, however, it just reloads the same custom static page.

    My problem is:

    I don’t know how to link back to the main dynamic blog page because I don’t know what the URL is for that.

    WordPress is installed in the root directory and both the “BLOG” and “WORDPRESS” urls are the same in my “General” settings. They are both http://domain.com

    What would be the URL for the blog page as opposed to my custom static page?

    I changed my “WordPress address (URL)” and my “Blog address (URL)” yesterday and my whole site was kaput until I followed the instructions below:
    ______
    Edit wp-config.php
    It should be possible to fix the site URL using a new feature –
    Add these two lines to your wp-config.php, where “example.com” is the NEW location of your site.
    define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://example.com’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://example.com’);
    That should be it. If it worked, stop reading this page now.
    ______
    I’m sure the answer is extremely simple. Please help.
