What is the compatible logo dimension for this theme?

I have failed to design a logo for my website time and again. What will be the perfect resolution for the default header size. Since this theme is responsive also, I want the logo to work well for mobile smaller displays as well. Can a logo be responsive too? and how to the reduce the header height?
