[Resolved] What is the Call Back URl & the Correct Format

  • Hi.
For me it worked when I put in my own full domain as Callback url:
    http://www.mydomain.com

    Try this, hope it helps.

    Best wishes.

The callback URL has to be a domain name, but it really doesn’t matter WHAT domain name. It’s actually kind of stupid, but Twitter has decided to NOT have a setting for callback vs OOB or PIN oAuth in their applications. Instead, if the callback URL is specified it uses Callback-style and if not it’s OOB or PIN-style.

The thing that makes that weird is that the calls to the API actually set the callback URL that’s really used, so while the field is required it’s not actually used.

Just set the callback URL to the URL of your site and you’ll be fine.

I had this question today, thanks for the prompt and informative response!
