Support » Fixing WordPress » What is the best way to have post show up in other category pages?

  • Hi,

I have been searching for an answer to this question for some time, and while I can see that other people have had varying degrees of the same issue before, the answers provided just haven’t matched what I need. So I am hoping there is someone here who can point me in the right direction.

Basically all I want to do is have posts that I write separated onto different pages as per the categories. I still want them to appear on the main blog page as normal but also under their respective category pages, similar to this site –

I tried using the categories as the menu, but the each page has a heading that refers to the posts being archives. I don’t really want that.

This is my website – – so you can get more of an idea what I am trying to describe.

Any help will be much appreciated.

  • You can remove the description of an archive by editing the archive.php (or similarly named) file within your theme folder. That would be much simpler than setting up your template to use pages as category headers.

Oh thank you Rebecca. I think that will.

I did discover another problem though. When I use the categories as the main menus I seem to loose the ability to have the standard WordPress blog page as my home page.

Have you noticed this? Do you know an easy solution around that?

Don’t worry if you don’t, I am sure I can find this information out myself. Your help so far is very much appreciated.

    Kind regards
