I am trying to work out the facebook like and share button plugin and contacted their support team. they told me that my 2014 theme was modified that generates a opening and closing tags incorrectly they say. I don’t know what was that about, and when i take a look on the site there’s this “/> ” tags in it. You can notice that on the top left after the header image. What was that means? How can i fix it? PLEASE HELP.

    Here’s my site:

Any help will be very much appreciated. I am still fixing my site up to now and thinking might do a crash course for wordpress. I started using wordpress in less than a month now.

  • Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    hi esmi,
thanks for your response. I did what you’ve told me and i think it works.
But I am still wondering whether the facebook like,my page, and share button plugin by bestwebsoft works or not. After i re-upload a fresh copy of the theme. i tried to look at my website, the /> is gone now both when i used mozilla and google chrome browser. but the FB buttons is not there on this link (using mozilla): but when i used google chrome, the FB buttons were there. It’s kinda weird. Do you know any ways I can do to fix this? or it is the plugin? When I contact bestwebsoft, they said that the problem is with my modified theme that has /> opening and closing tags incorrectly. but now that seems I fixed it, what could be the problem?

    Thanks heaps.
