What is emitting sitemap.xml?

    Somehow the sitemap.xml on one of my sites is broken (it is missing part of the header). How can I find out which PHP files are emitting sitemap.xml?

    The plugin which seems to be for sitemap has been disabled, so I don’t know what is generating this output.

    WordPress doesn’t generate its own sitemap.xml, so look for a plugin that is outputting one. Or discrete php files that are running outside of a plugin directly on your server.

    I already disabled the plugin which I thought was emitting it.

    Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
