What is criteria for an “active” session versus “idle”?

    How is a session determined to be idle?

    If a user is watching a video embedded on a page, is this considered idle because they are not “clicking” anything?

    Can i get a little more technical/programmer info… how is the cookie/session stored? I do not see a PHPSESSID

    Hello!
    Sessions do not modify the WordPress session manager (it only adds it features). So the sessions are handled by WordPress itself: in user meta and with standard WP cookies. Unless you modified it.
