Support » Plugin: Swift Performance Lite » What is Cache Expiry Time?

  • Hey, I am using this plugin and I have some question,
    What is Cache Expiry Time?
The plugin says to set the time of cache expiration and then “cached pages will be cleared after specified time”

What happens when the given time is over? will it shows the pages 404 return or just cache will be removed and the pages work fine and then cache restore again automatically for the given time? and the process will go on?

What is the recommended time for cache expiration?

    Thanks

  • When cache expiry time is over, the cache will be cleared and if Automatic prebuild option was turned on ceche will be automatically generated and if not it will be cached on the next visit.

What is the recommended time for cache expiration? If using anything that can be expired (e.g. nonces: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Nonces) you should chose shorter expiry period_ less than 12h time.

if Automatic prebuild option was turned on cache will be automatically generated and if not it will be cached on the next visit.

Where is the option to turn on the Automatic Prebuild setting?
When I publish the new post, It doesn’t show in the WARMUP table. every time I click on the
“Reset warmup table” button and then the new post shows. Is there any option that I can turn on because new post URL should be added automatically in the warmup table.

I have set up the cache expiry time (1 hour) and I opened my site (on another device) after publishing the new post but the new post didn’t show up on the homepage. 12 hours ago, I opened my site on the same device. But Cache should be not enabled on that device because My cache expiry time is 1 hour and I opened site after 12 hours on that device and the new post didn’t show up on the home page.

By The Way, Thank you so much for your support.

Sorry for your troubles, but it seems some deeper analysis is needed so please route your question to Swift’s Support lite-support@swteplugins.com, if possible.

    Thanks Ivica
