• Hi guys, i might be making a website for client soon as ive previously stated using wordpress.

After looking around at what companies charge for a website the standard website with about 10 pages seems to cost roughly £300-£400.
I can make a good looking website but i was wondering if it is fair of me to charge similar prices?

Because those companies are probably designing the website from scratch, where as i am using wordpress and buying a theme.

I personally dont think i can charge the same amount but i just wondered what you think, Because at the end of the day they are still getting a good quality website its just been made a different way.

Let me know what you think,
    Thanks,
    -Michael

  • What exactly constitutes a fair price is really between you and your clients. Variables such as the amount of time taken, the cost of the theme, the customisation needed, any training etc all play a part, so it’s not really something we could advise on.

Okay thats a fair point, would you be able to give me a rough estimate if say i spent £100 making the website and it took me 1 week to complete?

No – sorry. This is not the place to ask these sorts of questions.

You may want to peruse through http://jobs.wordpress.net/ to get a feel for things?
