I just began using WordPress and told it’s easy to use however I’m baffled at what I type into a post or page comes out looking like nothing like what I entered.

Is there a setting or something that I’m missing? I have very few plugins.

Try deactivating your plugins to explore whether any could be interfering. If none are, switch to one of the default Twenty themes, like Twenty Nineteen with all plugins deactivated to explore whether it’s an issue with your theme.

    Hi @mazumas1 ,

I can have a look, but I will need a link to the page/site that you are seeing the issue.

Also, did you check that your font colour is not the same as your page colour? E.g. text (font) colour is set to white or #ffffff and your page background colour is also set to white or #ffffff.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for a response.
Here is what I designed in WordPress:

Here is what I get with all plugins deactivated:

Thank you Andrew, I’m not using one of those default themes because I’m not a developer and unable to customize those themes to be used for Real Estate. I’m using a real estate one meant to work with our IDX system for properties, plus the ability to change design is easier for me.
